Does Christ live in you?
“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
Galatians 2:20
Look at the above statement by the apostle Paul. Can you make that statement. Does Christ live in you? Do you live by faith in the Son of God?
Hebrews 11:1 states:
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
We live in a fast paced society that demands everything now. It is a very visual, tactile society that wants to see and feel everything. If we don’t see it or feel it, we don’t believe it. In many cases that’s why people don’t come to know Christ.
God asks for faith for us to follow him without necessarily seeing things.
He doesn’t expect blind faith. We only have to look around us to see God’s handiwork.
The heavens declare the glory of God,And the firmament shows His handiwork. States Psalms 19:1
The world is in such precise order, the heavens are in such precise order that if we know the right mathematical formula, we can predict almost anything in nature. This to me, tells me there is a divine Creator behind it.
God is like any leader we must first trust Him implicitly before we can follow Him. If we don’t trust a leader we won’t follow. We must have faith in them first.
This is what God wants for us. He wants us to have faith in Him and go where He asks us to go. Do what He asks us to do by faith. Not because we understand fully the reasoning behind what He asks, but because we trust Him.
Something to think about
Our trust must be wholly in God. Not in any man, religious leader or pastor, but in God.
The only way we gain this faith and insight into what God has for our lives is by reading the Bible. Taking time alone with God away from all the distractions of life and praying. Asking God to show us the direction we are to go.
And by listening. Just sitting quietly and listening to what God is saying to our hearts.
Think about it.
