“My brothers, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring him back, remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins.”James 5:19,20.
Another simple truth. We need to be watching out for each other. If a brother in Christ stumbles we need to go to him in humility and gently, not forcefully turn him back to the Lord.
All too many people have been pushed further from the Lord by well meaning Christians who have tried, sometimes without realizing it, to point a person back to the Lord.
Turning a sinner, any sinner, to the Lord I firmly believe requires prayer. Along with that we need to have wisdom to approach the person in the right way. That they may see that we have nothing but good intentions toward them.
