A message of reconciliation
The apostle Paul writes,
“All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.
We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God.”2 Corinthians 5:18-20
St Augustine wrote,
“A Christian is: a mind through which
Christ thinks, a heart through which
Christ loves, a voice through which
Christ speaks, and a hand through which Christ helps”
St. Augustine
And what is the message God wants Christians to tell the world,
The apostle John writing states,
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." John 3:16,17.
In the book of Romans we read,
"That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame."
For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved" Romans 10:9-13.
This is what we as Christians. As follower of Christ Jesus should be doing.
If you claim to be a Christian are you doing it?
Please think about it.
