  A warning from Jesus

Jesus as he was sending His disciple out to minister gave a warning to them that is just as relevant to us today. Jesus said,

“I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.” Matthew 10:16.

The way I see this is we are to be aware of the situation we are in. While at the same time being none threatening. 

Sadly many Christians at least here in North America where I live are seen as threatening. They are seen for their political activism against various groups they disagree with. They are seen for the political parties they follow.

Of these people calling themselves Christians I would question whether or not they truly are Christians.

To be a Christian is to obey the words of the apostle Paul who wrote,

"If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone." Romans 12:18.

The apostle Paul also wrote,

"Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good,  to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and to show true humility toward all men."Titus 3:1,2

If we are doing this people will be more receptive to what we are saying. People will be more willing to accept Christ as their Saviour.
