How Much?

How much?
Joshua 24:14,15
"Now fear the LORD and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your forefathers worshipped beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the LORD.
But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living.
But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD." Joshua 24: 14,15.
Who do you serve? There are many who go to church especially here in North America where I live that believe there is a God but are not serving Him.
I was once told to consider this incident in Jesus’ life as recorded in Matthew’s gospel,
"Now a man came up to Jesus and asked, "Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?"
"Why do you ask me about what is good?" Jesus replied. "There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, obey the commandments."
"Which ones?" the man inquired. Jesus replied, " ‘Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony,  honour your father and mother,' and ‘love your neighbour as yourself.''"
"All these I have kept," the young man said. "What do I still lack?"
Jesus answered, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."
When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth." Matthew 19:16-22.
This man valued his wealth over God.
The evidence of a true believer in anything but especially when it comes to God is in what they are willing to give up for their beliefs. Wealth, family, friends, even their lives.
Thus my question to anyone reading this who claims to be a Christian, how much do you love God. Are you willing to give up everything for Him?
Please think about it.
