Temptation

Temptation
“When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.”  James 1:13-15
Temptation does not come from God, because God by his very nature is Holy and therefore cannot be turned away by temptation.
Man however can be tempted by his own evil desire. We as humans have an innate tendency to sin. Let’s face it sin can feel good. Still we all don’t just sin. We first have desires that are wrong. Those desires cause us to sin, which lead to spiritual death. Eternal separation from God.
We need to be on the look out for wrong desires that lead us to sin and as soon as we see them we need to be asking God to save us from the temptation we are being pulled into and forgive us for any wrong we may have done.
